DICK DENHAM
TRICKY (WORK IN PROGRESS)
SUN 3 NOV / 6.30PM
STUDIO 55 £10/£8 CONC.
SUITABLE FOR 18+
Dick Denham (“A joy to watch!" - Stephen Bailey; "Really fun!" - Zoe Lyons) is a queer, thirtysomething comedian and writer based in Croydon, originally from the Isle of Wight.
In this new work-in-progress show, Dick will be throwing all kinds of kooky and spooky ideas at the proverbial wall, taking a surreal look at getting older, mental health, and the absurd moments that life throws at us. One or two observations on living in the best borough in London (Croydon – duh!) will most definitely be included!
Dick has performed as a stand-up and emcee since 2017 in a variety of pubs, clubs, and theatres in London, Edinburgh, Brighton, and beyond, and was a runner-up in the Comedy Bloomers LGBTQ+ New Act Competition 2022. He has audiences in stitches with their surreal observations on being genderqueer in a heteronormative world, and the aspects of British culture that we all love to be indifferent about normally. They took their first 45-minute show, Big Dick Energy, to Leicester Comedy Festival, Camden Fringe, and Edinburgh Fringe in 2023.
