LEI-LDN tells the story of Chardaye, a self-assured mixed-race woman raised in predominantly white spaces by her white mother. Chardaye's world is turned upside down when an unexpected move to South London forces her to live with her Jamaican aunt. Through this transition, she confronts questions about her blackness and her place within her dual heritage. The play explores themes of identity, race, and self-acceptance, highlighting the struggles and triumphs of navigating a mixed-race identity.
